Alcoi, l’Alcoià, El Comtat

Locksmith near Alcoi: seven barris, six settlements and 31 towns

Every barri of Alcoi, the settlements in the hills around it, the seven other towns of l’Alcoià and all 24 of El Comtat. There is one phone number for all of it, and no separate page for each village: the service is the same everywhere, and so is the way of agreeing the price.

  • 7 barris
  • 6 outlying settlements
  • 31 towns around
A smiling locksmith with a tool belt stands at the open side door of a van on a terrace, a stone arched bridge and a hillside of houses behind.

Inside the town

The seven barris, and what to say to be found

Alcoi grew over ravines, and its barris are joined by bridges. Telling us the bridge, the estate or the square you are nearest is often more use than a street number. The guide on giving directions in Alcoi explains why.

  • Centre

Including the Barri de la Sang, the old town

The oldest houses and blocks, on streets laid out long before cars, with modernista façades among them. The town hall gives grants to restore façades and party walls here.

On the phone: The van rarely reaches the door. Tell us the nearest square or church and how many steps or how steep the street is from there.

  • El Viaducte

The neighbourhood that takes its name from the Canalejas viaduct of 1907.

On the phone: Say which end of the viaduct you are nearer to.

  • L’Eixample

Including l’Albereda, the Cases Roges, Sant Roc and Sant Jordi estates

The town that grew after the Pont de Sant Jordi opened in 1931: industrialists’ villas, the 1929–31 worker houses known as the Cases Roges, post-war estates and blocks from the late 1960s on.

On the phone: A grid on a slope. The street and the nearest cross street are enough.

  • Santa Rosa

Including carrer Santa Rosa, carrer Oliver

Grown along the old roads to Xàtiva and Banyeres from 1878, with most flats built in the 1960s and 70s. About a quarter of the town lives here.

On the phone: Between the Sant Roc and Maria Cristina bridges, with the Fernando Reig bridge above. Say which bridge you are nearest.

  • Zona Nord

Including Caramanxel, Joan XXIII, Sant Maure, Font Dolça

The most populated barri: apartment estates built between 1957 and 1976, from 300 to 672 homes each, around the station, the bus terminal and the hospital.

On the phone: Name the estate as well as the street, and whether you are off carrer Juan Gil-Albert or the Avinguda de l’Hispanitat.

  • Zona Alta

    Including El Partidor, Cantagallet

The highest barri, in the south, where the A-7 and the N-340 come in: sloping streets, the university buildings, and El Partidor beside the Molinar ravine, where the population is getting older.

On the phone: The streets climb. Say whether the van can stop outside or has to wait at the top or the bottom.

  • Batoi

Including the start of the Vía Verde

Once a small village beside the road to Banyeres de Mariola, it grew quickly from 1957.

On the phone: Off the CV-794. If you are near the Vía Verde, say which access you used.

Outside the town

Urbanisations, masies and the Font Roja

The municipality reaches well beyond the built-up town, up to the Font Roja natural park. These settlements are covered like any barri:

  • Baradello-Sargento
  • Cases del Salt
  • l’Estepar
  • Font Roja
  • Montesol
  • Sol i Camp

Houses here are found by the name of the urbanisation or the partida, not always by a street number. A pin on WhatsApp saves a lot of searching, especially at night.

L’Alcoià

The rest of l’Alcoià, from the toy valley to Mariola

  • Ibi: Known across Spain as the town of toys, with the Valencian Toy Museum.
  • Onil: Where most of Spain’s dolls are made, with the doll museum in the house of l’Hort.
  • Castalla: In the Foia de Castalla, the toy-making valley it shares with Ibi, Onil and Tibi.
  • Tibi
  • Banyeres de Mariola: Under its Moorish castle of 1214.
  • Penàguila
  • Benifallim

El Comtat

All 24 towns of El Comtat

  • Cocentaina: Capital of El Comtat (11,498 people in 2025), with the Palau Comtal and the Fira de Tots Sants.
  • Muro d’Alcoi: The second town of El Comtat (9,372 people in 2025).

Every service, every town

What can be done wherever you are

Emergencies, door opening and locked cars at any hour; everything else booked for a day that suits you. Ring or use WhatsApp or email.

  • any hour

    An emergency locksmith

Shut out with the keys indoors, a key broken off in the cylinder, a lock that jammed as you left. The phone is answered at night and at weekends, and you are told honestly how long the journey will take.

  • flats and houses

Getting a door open without damage

Most front doors are opened through the lock or the latch, with nothing broken. The drill is the last resort, used only when you agree to it.

  • planned, booked ahead

    A new cylinder

New euro cylinders, anti-snap and anti-bump upgrades, worn multipoint locks on modern doors, and PVC or aluminium doors that no longer lock. Booked for a day and time that suit you.

  • old town and village houses

    Old door locks

Street doors in the old town, in l’Eixample villas and in the villages of El Comtat, with mortice or box locks that are older than anyone in the house. Repaired and made secure, so the door can stay.

  • opening only

    A locked car opened

Keys locked inside the car, or a car door that will not open. The car is opened without damage, and that is the whole job.

  • in town and village centres

Locks for a shop or office

Shutter locks, glass shop doors, back doors and office locks for shops, bars and offices, with the work fitted around opening hours.

  • secure first, then upgrade

    Repairs after a break-in

A forced door made to close and lock on the first visit. Then, when you are ready, a stronger cylinder, a guard plate or a high-security lock.

  • homes and businesses

    A safe opened

Safes that refuse the code, have a flat battery or came with a house and no instructions. New safes bolted down where they cannot be carried off.
