The work
Everything Locksmith Alcoi does, and nothing it does not
Emergencies, door opening and locked cars are dealt with at any hour. The rest is planned work, booked for a day that suits you.
- any hour
Emergency call-outs
Shut out with the keys indoors, a key broken off in the cylinder, a lock that jammed as you left. The phone is answered at night and at weekends, and you are told honestly how long the journey will take.
- flats and houses
Opening a door
Most front doors are opened through the lock or the latch, with nothing broken. The drill is the last resort, used only when you agree to it.
- planned, booked ahead
Lock changes & repairs
New euro cylinders, anti-snap and anti-bump upgrades, worn multipoint locks on modern doors, and PVC or aluminium doors that no longer lock. Booked for a day and time that suit you.
- old town and village houses
Old wooden doors
Street doors in the old town, in l’Eixample villas and in the villages of El Comtat, with mortice or box locks that are older than anyone in the house. Repaired and made secure, so the door can stay.
- opening only
Locked car
Keys locked inside the car, or a car door that will not open. The car is opened without damage, and that is the whole job.
- in town and village centres
Shops & offices
Shutter locks, glass shop doors, back doors and office locks for shops, bars and offices, with the work fitted around opening hours.
- secure first, then upgrade
After a break-in
A forced door made to close and lock on the first visit. Then, when you are ready, a stronger cylinder, a guard plate or a high-security lock.
- homes and businesses
Safes
Safes that refuse the code, have a flat battery or came with a house and no instructions. New safes bolted down where they cannot be carried off.
Not sure it needs a locksmith yet? The guides for Alcoi homes cover damp old doors, shared flats, snowy nights and inherited houses.
Getting here
A town of ravines, bridges and steep streets
Alcoi stands at 561 metres where five rivers have cut deep ravines, and it grew by bridging them. That shapes every call-out: a map pin can sit on a bridge above the street you are actually in, and in the old town the van often has to stop a few streets away.
-
Three bridges, three ages
The Maria Cristina bridge (1828–38), the Canalejas viaduct (1907), 54 metres above the Molinar, and the Art Deco Pont de Sant Jordi (1931), which opened up l’Eixample. Telling us which one you are near saves time. How to describe where you are.
-
Old streets, newer estates
The Centre and the Barri de la Sang were laid out before cars. Zona Nord and Santa Rosa, where more than half the town lives, are mostly blocks of flats from the 1950s to the 70s, each with its own street door.
-
Real winters
January nights average around 4 °C, frost comes with the cold spells, and some winters it snows on the hills. Wooden doors swell and shrink with the seasons, which is why old street doors get a page of their own.
-
Thirty-one towns around
Cocentaina, Muro, Ibi, Onil, Castalla and the small villages of El Comtat are covered as well as the urbanisations of l’Estepar, Baradello and Montesol. See every barri and town covered.

What you can hold Locksmith Alcoi to
-
The price is agreed before the work starts, once the lock has been seen. Nothing is added afterwards.
-
An honest journey time, given for your address and the hour you ring. Never a promise of minutes.
-
Through the lock first. Drilling is the last resort, and only once you have agreed to it.
-
Proof before opening. Something that shows the home, car or safe is yours or that you are allowed in.
There are no testimonials on this site, on purpose. Why the reviews page is empty, who you are dealing with, and which way to get in touch.
Before you ring
Five questions people ask before they ring
Is it Alcoi or Alcoy?
Both, and they are the same town. Alcoi is the official Valencian name; Alcoy is the Spanish one, still used on many maps and booking sites. Either is fine on the phone.
Do you come out to the villages of El Comtat?
Yes, to all 24 of them, from Cocentaina and Muro d’Alcoi to Famorca and Tollos, and to the rest of l’Alcoià from Ibi and Onil to Banyeres de Mariola. The coverage page lists every one.
Can you copy a key, or make a new key for my car?
No. Locksmith Alcoi does not cut, copy or supply keys of any kind, and does no work on car keys, remotes or ignitions. With a car, the service is opening it when the keys are locked inside.
Can I pay by card or Bizum?
By cash, card or Bizum. The price is agreed with you on site, once the lock has been seen and before any work starts.
I do not speak Spanish. Will that be a problem?
No. Ring or write in English. If you need to show a neighbour, a landlord or the police what was done, the explanation can be given in Spanish as well.
Stuck outside, or just want a lock looked at?
Ring, or send a photo of the door and a map pin on WhatsApp. You can also read the guides first.
