Trailheads, fair days and steep streets
Alcoi sits between two natural parks, the Font Roja and the Serra de Mariola. Walkers leave their cars where the paths start, and a key put down while the boots go on is easily shut inside. The Vía Verde starts in Batoi and runs ten kilometres towards l’Estepar, through tunnels and over bridges, so cyclists and walkers leave cars at its ends too.
In Cocentaina, the Fira de Tots Sants fills the town every year from 31 October to 2 November, with more than 800 exhibitors spread over 142,000 square metres. With that many visitors, parking spreads across the town, so tell us the street or the car park, and whether the car is somewhere a van can stop beside it.
In Alcoi itself, the Zona Alta and the old town have steep and narrow streets. If the car is parked on a slope or in a tight spot, say so: it changes which door is worked on. Not sure whether your village is covered? Check the list of towns.

What Locksmith Alcoi will not do with cars, or anything else
None of the following is offered, so you do not waste a call:
- Cutting, copying or duplicating keys, of any kind
- Spare keys for homes, garages, gates or padlocks
- Car keys: cutting, supplying, replacing or programming them
- Transponder chips and remote controls for vehicles
- Ignition barrels and ignition switches
- Keys for motorbikes, mopeds or vans

Before you ring
Hire cars, boots and lost keys
There is a child or a dog inside the car and it is hot. Who do I ring first?
Ring 112 first. Emergency services can break a window at once, and in heat that matters more than the glass. Ring a locksmith when nobody is at risk.
The car is rented, not mine. Can it still be opened?
Yes, with the rental agreement in your name and your ID. It is worth ringing the hire company too: some include roadside help, and they will want to know.
The keys are in the boot, not in the cabin.
Tell us when you ring. On many cars the boot can be released from inside once a door is open; on others it takes longer.
I have lost the car key altogether. Can you make me a new one?
No. Locksmith Alcoi does not cut, supply, replace or program car keys. If the key is lost rather than locked inside, you need the dealer or an automotive key specialist.

Help at three in the morning
